Dr Vincent Roy-Di Piazza | DPhil (Oxon)

I was born in France, and educated in Italy, France, Denmark and England. I recently completed my doctorate in history at the University of Oxford, where I was a fully funded British research council student (AHRC-DTP), a Gilbert Ryle scholar at Linacre College, and the inaugural recipient of a doctoral scholarship by the Swedenborg Society in London.

I am currently a European research council postdoctoral fellow at the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) in Finland. Before coming to JYU, I worked at Oxford as a British research council postdoctoral fellow, and as a Hagströmer fellow in history at Karolinska Institutet in Sweden. I have also been the recipient of various short-term fellowships in the USA, Italy, Sweden, and the Netherlands (see Research).

I am an award-winning science communicator and author, with a passion for both public and academic speaking. You can find more about my research on this website, and reach me via email or social media. I always welcome inquiries to give papers, share my research, teach, offer historical expertise and provide mentorship.
