I was born in France, and educated in Italy, France, Denmark and England. After undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Sorbonne and the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Paris, I completed my doctorate at the University of Oxford in 2022, where I was a British Arts and Humanities research council-funded student (AHRC-DTP), a Ryle scholar at Linacre College, and the inaugural recipient of a doctoral scholarship from the Swedenborg Society in London.

I am currently a European research council postdoctoral researcher at the University of Jyväskylä (JYU) in Finland. There, I am working within the ERC Consolidator project De-centring eighteenth century political economy: rethinking growth, wealth, and welfare in the Swedish Empire (ERC, DEPE, 101088549). Before coming to JYU, I worked at the University of Oxford as a British Arts and Humanities Research Council postdoctoral fellow. I have also been the recipient of several funded short term research fellowships, most notably at the Huntington Library in San Marino, California, the Fondazione Cini in Venice, Italy, the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences, the Hagströmer Library at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, and the University of Amsterdam.

I am a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, a member of the board of directors of the Swedenborg Foundation, and a team member of the international research group War Losses and Casualties, which brings together historians of war, medicine, and the body.
